Declaring Your Independence

Welcome to Western Voices. I'm John Young of European Americans United.
A few weeks back, my friend and colleague Frank Roman created a pod cast entitled "Sphere of Influence" in which he explored what Noam Chomsky calls manufactured consent. This concept bears further examination because Frank also pointed out something incredibly important: that the status quo depends upon our participation for its perpetuation. Rather than paraphrase, here is the direct quote:
"Living under a tyranny of what Noam Chomsky called manufactured consent; we need only realize that we can withdraw this consent by simply changing the way we live. Manufactured consent requires our participation; especially our economic and cultural participation."(1)
Noam Chomsky and Edward Hermann published a book on this topic back in 1988. But, even before that, in 1982, Ayn Rand delivered a powerful speech entitled "The Sanction of the Victims" in which she stated unequivocally:
"... it is a moral crime to give money to support ideas with which you disagree; it means: ideas which you consider wrong, false, evil. It is a moral crime to give money to support your own destroyers."(2)
According to Rand, the sanction of the victims can be defined as: "the willingness of the good to suffer at the hands of the evil, to accept the role of sacrificial victim for the 'sin' of creating values."
What Chomsky and Rand are in agreement on is the fact that evil is powerless without the cooperation of the good; and this is a subject I have visited implicitly in various forms.
Obviously, Chomsky, Rand and I would all differ on the details of what is good or bad. So we would differ on the content, but the structure holds as truly today as when English philosopher Edmund Burke stated the idea in the 1700's, ‘The only thing necessary for the triumph [of evil] is for good men to do nothing.’
This concept lies at the core of the unique approach to activism that we take here at European Americans United. Rather than blame pornographers for pornography -- we put the blame, and thereby the power -- in the hands of the white men who purchase the product. If white men refused to purchase the product, the evil intentions of its purveyors wouldn't matter and they would be powerless.
We are not a victims-rights group. Rather, we are an organization that seeks to make change through beneficial changes in our own behavior -- political behavior, economic behavior, ethical behavior, spiritual behavior and family behavior. We -- you, I, and every white person in this country -- already have the power to accomplish anything we want. All we have to do is stop blaming everyone else for our plight, take personal responsibility, and withdraw our consent and sanction from the Apostles of Epic Evil.

You will notice in the Declaration of Independence that as King George III was accused of atrocious and intemperate behavior he was called “he.” But in the same context “it” would mean today’s system with its endless turnpikes of bureaucratic indulgences. By Frank Roman Audio Version In 1775 Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence. The purpose of the Declaration was to declare and explain why the thirteen colonies were breaking away from King George III and Great Britain’s control. Jefferson starts off the Declaration of Independence by explaining why he is writing this proposal. He starts off by telling the world what is wanted by the colonies. He talks about the rights and powers the people by way of birth deserve and ought to have. Jefferson says, “…, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable** Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” He then goes into tell how it’s also the right of the colonies to break away from Great Britain if Great Britain is not treating the colonies well. Jefferson says, “That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it, and to institute new government...” adding “The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.”

'Gay' McDonald's Prompts Boycott

No longer the McDonald's many grew up with. The American Family Association, whose earlier boycott of Ford Motor Co. over its promotion of homosexuality was dropped after company sales fell 8 percent per month for two years, now is asking consumers to stop buying Big Macs and Happy Meals at McDonald's. In a brief announcement today, AFA, whose constituents number in the millions, said it is "asking its supporters to boycott the restaurant chain." ** "This boycott is not about hiring homosexuals, or homosexuals eating at McDonald's or how homosexual employees are treated. It is about McDonald's, as a corporation, choosing to put the full weight of their organization behind promoting the homosexual agenda, including homosexual marriage," said AFA chairman Donald E. Wildmon.

We are as dependent on foreign borrowing as we are on foreign oil. By Patrick J. Buchanan Not until a year after Lexington did the Continental Congress muster the resolve to declare the 13 colonies free and independent states, no longer subject to Parliament or Crown. Not for five years after July 4, 1776, did George Washington's army truly attain America's independence at Yorktown. Even then, Washington and his aide Alexander Hamilton knew that the 13 states, while politically independent, were dependent upon Europe for the necessities of their national life. Without French ships and guns, French muskets and troops, the Americans could not have forced Gen. Cornwallis' surrender at Yorktown. Cornwallis would have sailed away, as Gen. Howe had from Boston. Indeed, absent the 1778 alliance with France, our Revolution would have been a longer bloodier affair and might not have succeeded.

Once again, the so-called "extremists" were right. Avoid AIDS. At Spruce Street Baptist Church, 1 of Nashville's oldest and most established predominantly African-American congregations, the Rev. Raymond Bowman showed his congregation how easy it was to take an HIV test. He just opened his mouth and swabbed. The church and 26 other predominantly African-American churches around Nashville participated in free HIV testing in June to show the need for every adult to know their status. It's part of a Metro Nashville Health Department effort to harness the power and influence of black churches to slow the spread of HIV. While only 13% of the U.S. population is black, black men and women account for more than 49% of AIDS cases. (Source)

Imagine a National White Republican Association

The hypocrisy continues...and we let it. But for how much longer? Everybody knows that black musicians can publish music calling for the rape and murder of white people with impunity; but the slightest notion of ethnic pride among white folks is severely punished. Everybody knows that black churches like the Trinity United Church of Christ can maintain full tax-exempt status and subsidization while actively encouraging political activism and putting forth both a positive pro-black racial message and a strong anti-white message. But can you imagine the treatment that a similar explicitly and proudly WHITE church would have to endure? When a black man kills a white man, it hardly makes a blip on the news; but on those rare occasions when it is the other way around the media spectacle lasts for weeks. There are scholarships -- just for blacks. So far the only scholarships in existence just for whites are too small to be notable. Blacks get special bonuses on civil service exams that allow them to be promoted over white folks who have better qualifications. But the biggest difference really comes down to the fact that a black man can speak his mind about racial matters, and a white man cannot.

Hatfill's exoneration raises the question: if he didn't mail the anthrax letters, then who did? You remember the anthrax attacks– or do you? It often seems, to me at least, that this important catalyst for the invasion of Iraq and our supremely wrong-headed post-9/11 foreign policy has been flushed down the collective memory hole. For all the attention that's been paid to that spooky chapter in the history of the "war on terrorism" in the intervening years, it may as well have never occurred. That's why news of the former prime suspect's ultimate vindication – and his victory in a $5.8 million lawsuit in which he accused the feds of unfairly targeting him as a "person of interest" (as John Ashcroft put it) – seems like a visitation from another time, the ghost of 9/11 past, haunting and mocking us. It sends chills down my spine – because, you see, the real culprits are still out there.

Conservative Icon Jesse Helms Dead at 86

By presenting himself as a man of courage, willing to stand up against 'tax-and-spend liberals,' homosexuality and so forth, Helms commands respect. Jesse Helms, the firebrand United States senator whose outspoken, conservative views polarized North Carolina and U.S. voters for decades, died at 1:15 a.m. Friday in Raleigh, according to John Dodd, president of the Jesse Helms Center. He joins the second, third and fifth presidents of the United States – John Adams, Thomas Jefferson and James Monroe – who also died on Independence Day. He was 86. His cause of death was not released. Helms will lie in repose on Monday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Hayes-Barton Baptist Church in Raleigh. His funeral is at 2 p.m. Tuesday also at the church. A private burial will follow.

Remember -- patriotism in its original form is from the Latin word PATER meaning father.Thus the true meaning of patriotism is loyalty to a bloodline, a kindred ethnic stock.
On this 4th of July we need to ask ourselves exactly what is patriotism. Is it loyalty to a form of government? What if that government is working against your interests?Is your loyalty unconditional? How long would you stay with an unfaithful spouse? Is your loyalty to a piece a land, mere real estate? Populations change over time.The land may stay the same but people make a nation,land does not make a nation. A nation's strength is not dependent on how large its landmass is. Alas, most Americans are politically immature compared to Europeans.Americans tend to confuse the concepts of nation,government, and country.They think they are all one and the same, or at least interchangeable. In reality a country is a piece of land,whereas government is the political ruling class governing said peice of land. This leadership may be constructive or destructive. In the case of the present United States it is destructive of the people's liberty and the sovereignty of the nation. Is patriotism loyalty to institutions? Institutions can become corrupt and infiltrated over time so that the inner substance changes whereas the outer form remains the same.Only the politically aware can tell the difference,the majority of the masses never can.
Is patriotism loyalty to the constitution? What good is a constitution if it is so ambiguous that a panel of judges is needed to tell the masses what it actually means?

The Americans Will Never Elect a Black President.

For the race, everything. Outside the race, nothing. You hear this (not the header, above -- Ed.) stated quite confidently and quite often. But how true is it? The Washington Post has a new poll out suggesting that 3 in 10 Americans admit to race bias, though it isn't too clear from the article what this really means. Michael Barone, the ace US pundit, is unpersuaded. He proposes a thought experiment. How many people would have been unwilling to vote for Colin Powell in 1995 and are now unwilling to vote for Obama? This is the maximum proportion of the population unwilling to elect a black President full stop. Barone argues that this proportion is less than 10 per cent. He suggests, say, 6 per cent although this is rather plucking numbers out of the air. He then suggests that there are other reasons for being unwilling to vote for either - for instance wanting Bill Clinton and John McCain purely as checks on Congress. June 17, 2008 Neocons think in news cycles, the Vatican in centuries—and Patrick J. Buchanan? In the body of worthy, provocative books he has produced, his thought ranges over decades. Having nobly failed to affect American elections and nudge our policies closer to prudence, it’s clear that Buchanan has withdrawn from the dismal business of trying to sober up the Republican party—and decided instead to work at dismantling the historical myths and moral fetishes of the center-left publicists who now dominate the “conservative” movement. His books are clearly written and remarkably persuasive—which explains the hysteria they have occasioned. His genial public persona, the ease with which he can engage the likes of Stephen Colbert and Ali G (remember “I don’t think Saddam was a threat even if he had BLTs”), guarantee him a broad readership. Whites are doing something no other people has ever done in human history." Jared Taylor There has been a long and interesting discussion over at Takimag.com on what is being called “white nationalism.” The first to raise the subject was Paul Gottfried, who made many subtle and interesting points to be found here. He noted that although “white nationalists,” among whom he included me by name, are bravely leading the attack on egalitarianism, they “lack a civilization” and are therefore “not likely to carry our society toward a new vision of order.” I will say, first of all, that I greatly admire Prof. Gottfried. I have five of his books on my bookshelf and have read and profited greatly from all of them. That puts him in select company, along with Richard Lynn, Dickens, Conrad, Trollope and only a few others. It therefore pains me to have to say that despite the respectful interest he takes in what I would prefer to call “race realism,” he does not seem entirely to understand it.

People who throw away their own independence and freedom lose the ability to control their government. And soon it is no longer their government any more. Even though some misguided souls believe for the sake of “tolerance” that the White West’s downfall is deserved, if not past due, we at European Americans United understand only too well the decline of the White population and its historical influence to minority status can only result in anarchy, vice, and ineptitude greater than America has ever known before, and we are not about to stay home and simply let it happen.
Certainly we are not a perfect people but history has proven that our kind sets the standard for other civilizations to emulate, and that alone is reason enough to celebrate who we are.
It won’t take many of us to accomplish this, just like it didn’t take a vast number of people to change history at our nations beginning; but only when we become a proud European derived nation again such as the one envisioned on July 4 1776 will we make the necessary changes to our society and our children’s future in a very short period of time. No longer are we a battered and empty-handed people.

How the hell can we ever be expected to deal with these enormous societal problems if we are forbidden to even discuss them, if we have to talk to each other in code, if we have to delete our thoughts before we have even thought them? This is probably the most racist article that Radarsite has ever published. The disturbing conclusions reached in this article are undeniably shocking and inflammatory. In some countries this essay would have automatically been banned as constituting Hate Speech. Even here in the USA statements such as these can -- and indeed have been -- considered grounds for legal action. These volatile words are justly considered dangerous and potentially lethal, likened to that old "Shouting 'Fire' in a crowded theater" analogy.
But are they true? ** (below) And, even if these statements are proven to be true, is it irresponsible journalism to report them? Does merely reporting the statistical evidence become in and of itself an incendiary act of racism? When do naked facts become racist propaganda? When does reporting the truth become a criminal act of disturbing the peace? Are we even interested in the truth, or merely interested in not making waves? Where are the lines drawn? And who draws these lines? To call this subject explosive is a gross understatement. It is all but untouchable.

Regarding Press Release: ADL Attacks Freedom of Speech by "Shooting the Messenger." One of the most interesting aspects of the ADL attack on an AM radio program producer in western Tennessee is how it was just name-calling from start to finish. The diverse white American peoples are losing their awe of the labeling that ADL engages in, and the ADL labels are losing their power to influence us. We have seen so much of ADL's name-calling that the words have ceased to sting. But look at the names hurled at or around an innocent and intelligent broadcaster: white supremacist, anti-Semite, neo-Nazi, Holocaust denier, conspiracy theorist, anti-immigrant leaders, racist groups, and extremist views. Apparently even the heroic Colonel Charles Lindbergh came in for a verbal thrashing by the ADL, too. There's no resting in peace for the enemies list at ADL headquarters. (As a side note, creating an order of honor named for Lindbergh is an excellent idea.) On our web site, we explore the phenomenon of name-calling because the act of naming the other is the building block for the act of slurring, and once a group like ADL moves into that area its motives can be analyzed.

One for the good guys by James Edwards You probably heard about Joe Horn by now, but in case you haven’t, here’s the scoop. Joe’s a 62 year old retiree who lives in Pasadena, Texas, near Houston. Last fall he called 911 late at night to report that two black guys were robbing his neighbor’s house. The neighbor wasn’t home, and Joe told the 911 dispatcher he was gonna go out and shoot the two robbers. On the 911 call, you can hear him tell them “Move and you’re dead!”. Well, they kept moving, but not for long. Joe shot both of them, killing them. It turned out they weren’t American blacks, but two black illegal aliens from Colombia, one of whom had been deported for cocaine charges years ago.

Police Think Islington Murder Was Racially Motivated

Police are investigating the possibility the stabbing to death of 16-year-old Ben Kinsella was racially motivated. Ben was set upon by a gang of black youths at 2am Sunday morning, stabbed several times and died shortly after. The attack Out with friends celebrating the end of the GCSE's, Ben went to Shillibeers bar near Caledonian Road tube station, although it was over 18s he got in. An argument ensued when several youths didn't and were shouting for others to get them inside. Apparently the group of four stayed outside until closing time and followed Ben's group up the road. Ben ran, a friend received a terrifying phone call from him as the gang of black youths closed in. They caught up with Ben and he was knifed four times in the neck and chest during a mass brawl

Moneyed bigots smear European Americans. James Edwards wonders how his weekly program, broadcast on Sunday afternoon from an old-fashioned AM radio station in West Tennessee, could provoke the wrath of the Anti-Defamation League. Edwards, youthful host of "The Political Cesspool" show, never expected to be labeled a "white supremacist" and the star of hate radio because of a fifteen-minute interview with Pat Buchanan. But then, the powerful Jewish lobby group avoids polite language when profiling perceived enemies like Edwards and Buchanan. The words "racist", "extremist", "terrorism", and "hate" pop up all over the ADL website like toadstools. "I am amazed that an organization that has twisted the words 'Merry Christmas' into hate speech can accuse anyone of bigotry," said Edwards, "the ADL has demanded the removal of Nativity scenes from public property, and dictates what public schools can display during the Christmas season, but I am smeared as a vendor of hate because I interview people the ADL hates. I pray for them, I really do."

Black nationalism on public display -- again. ** It was a shocker at the annual State of the City address.
Denver's mayor delivered the speech, but it's what happened before he spoke that received all of the attention and has everyone talking Wednesday. The city asked local jazz singer Rene Marie to sing the Star Spangled Banner before Tuesday’s speech. But she performed a different version of the national anthem. She took the music from the Star Spangled Banner and sang lyrics from the Black National Anthem instead.

Heading to the polls on Nov. 4? If so, your genes may be driving you there, a new study suggests. In fact, as much as 50 percent of whether you vote or not may be genetically determined, says a team at the University of California, San Diego. Genes may even be more important to your tendency to cast a ballot than family political history. "Both nature and nurture play a role in voting," said lead author James H. Fowler, an associate professor of political science. "We expected genes would play a little bit of a role, but we were surprised how strong [a] role they played." Previously, experts primarily focused on the environmental factors that pushed people to vote. "For a long time, they thought that parents and children have pretty much the same behavior when it comes to voting," Fowler said. "If they voted, it's likely you will go to the polls as well." But, rather than transmitting ideas, "parents are transmitting genes," Fowler now believes. He co-authored a report on the issue, published in July's The Journal of Politics. In the study, Fowler and Ph.D. candidate Christopher T. Dawes drew on voter-turnout data in Los Angeles. They matched that data to a registry of identical and non-identical twins.

RE: Colorado Thought Crimes (Literally) Enacted Into Law

This article is troubling for several reasons. (1) It blurs the distinction between "protected classifications" and "protected groups." This is an important distinction which is made, I note, in each of the related search engine stories on the Internet. One reason this is important is to teach it to your readers who need to know the difference. Remember the related call for hate crime prosecution when whites were victims, and the police chief said he didn't know if whites were a protected group? They're a protected classification under the law; the concept of protected group is not involved. The blurring is deliberately done by ADL in their public statements and in their law enforcement training, and it behooves us to know what the law means without confusion.

Iowa Versus Louisiana

When will we hear Governor Chet Culver say that he wants to rebuild a 'vanilla' Iowa , because that's the way God wants it? Just a personal observation...as I watched the news coverage of the massive flooding in the Midwest with over 100 blocks of the city of Cedar Rapids, Iowa under water, levees breaking, and the attention now turned downstream for when this massive amount of water hits the Mississippi, what amazed me is not what we saw, but what we didn't see... 1. We don't see looting. 2. We don't see street violence. 3. We don't see people sitting on their rooftops waiting for the government to come and save them. 4. We don't see people waiting on the government to do anything. 5. We don't see Hollywood organizing benefits to raise money for people to rebuild. 6. We don't see people blaming President Bush. 7. We don't see people ignoring evacuation orders. 8. We don't see people blaming a government conspiracy to blow up the levees as the reason some have not held. 9. We don't see the US Senators or the Governor of Iowa crying on TV. 10. We don't see the Mayors of any of these cities complaining about the lack of state or federal response. 11. We don't see or hear reports of the police going around confiscating personal firearms so only the criminal will be armed. 12. We don't see gangs of people going around and randomly shooting at the rescue workers. 13. You don't see some leaders in this country blaming the bad behavior of the Iowa flood victims on 'society' (of course there is no wide spread reports of lawlessness to require excuses).

"Substantial natural increase among new Hispanic immigrants has dampened or even offset recent … population declines in rural communities," says Kenneth Johnson, co-author of research published in a demographic journal this month. Instead of removing discriminations, our Colorado legislature simply reverses them, taking it upon itself to determine who gets what rights, protections and benefits. Some Colorado citizens may view this law, known informally as Colorado’s Anti-Discrimination Act, or CADA, as justice. Others will see it as a predatory monster. The law is armed by a seven-person Civil Rights Commission, four of whom must be members of one of the protected classes that have been or could be discriminated against. This unelected happy few, appointed by the governor, are tasked to energetically ferret out those of us Coloradoans whom they think to be suspect, subjecting us to fines and/or imprisonment. CADA raises any number of judicial, legal and philosophical contradictions.

So much for having a good time at the Democratic National Convention.
The party's Denver confab has adopted a regimen of political correctness of the sort not seen since George McGovern was boycotting grapes.
Organizers have laid down strict rules, The Wall Street Journal reports, aimed at producing the "greenest convention in the history of the planet."
They include:
* No fried foods. Whatsoever.
* All meals must include "at least three of the following colors: red, green, yellow, blue/purple and white."
* At least 70 percent of all food must be organic and grown locally.
And organizers have recruited 900 recycling enforcers to ensure that every scrap of trash goes into the proper bin.

EAU member returns from Third World with this report One advantage of being part of a hard-working family is that I am lucky enough to occasionally go on family vacations. This past month, my family and I traveled to Costa Rica for ten days. Now, before I go on, I ought to give you all a little background information about myself. I have been racially conservative for approximately four years now. An extremely unfortunate incident involving the violent murder of a beloved high school teacher made me radically reevaluate and realign my previous outlook on all issues, specifically those of race, culture, and nationhood. So I am yet a budding race realist, but I consider myself endlessly fortunate to have aligned myself with the growing racialist movement this early on. This trip to Costa Rica was the first trip to a third world nation which I could analyze from a racially conservative perspective. I made a surprising amount of relevant observations during my time in this subtropical country in Latin America.

Iran Sentences Man to Death for Spying for Israel

The report has prompted tough statements of military preparedness from Iranian commanders. An Iranian court on Monday sentenced to death an Iranian businessman on charges of being an Israeli spy who targeted the Islamic Republic's disputed nuclear program and its military, media said. The Tehran court handed down its sentence at a time of high tension with Israel and speculation of a possible Israeli attack on Iran's nuclear installations. Iranian media identified Ali Ashtari as the manager of a company selling communications and security equipment to Iran's government and said he had been accused of "engaging in espionage for (Israel's) Mossad intelligence service."

Muslims will have to deal with hurt feelings over controversial film Dutch legislator Geert Wilders will not be prosecuted for inciting hatred of Muslims with his film denouncing the Quran, prosecutor said Monday. Prosecutor said his film "Fitna," or "Ordeal" in Arabic, and statements Wilders wrote in Dutch newspapers were hurtful and insulting but not criminal. The film juxtaposed Quranic verses against a background of violent film clips and images of terrorism by Islamic radicals. It aroused protests around the Muslim world after it was released on the Internet in March.

It is a dire omen for this heaving mass of frightened humanity when a judge says in a court of law, the ‘Truth is no defense’. by Albion If a magnifying glass were held to this floating piece of stellar debris with it’s heaving mass of servile humanity one would find there are only 3 distinct groups of people on this planet whose decisions directly affect the rest of us who number around 6 billion. It used to be Kings, Queens their loyal Nobles and the Church that held power over the grubby populace, but not any more. These various groups keep the status quo running smoothly and on an even keel. If you cannot understand how or why a situation is occurring that is affecting the lives of the majority of the people who may guardedly question but accept without voice, then one should at least understand the nature of the position of human beings on this earth. The first groups of humans on this planet that directly affect all our lives possibly number less than one million. These people are extremely influential, wealthy, or are the corrupt, greedy politicians and leaders of industry. Embedded within this group are the faceless people that decide what we read in the newspapers, books, magazines, on the advertising hoardings, and in many cases manipulate our acceptance by premeditated subliminal visual suggestion and twisted misrepresentation on what we see at the movies and on the TV soapies as being he norm.

As the birthrate in European countries drops well below the "replacement rate" — that is, an average of 2.1 children born to every woman — the declining population will first be felt in the playgrounds. When Falivena took office in 2002 for his second stint as mayor, two numbers caught his attention. Four: that was how many babies were born in the town the year before. And five: the number of children enrolled in first grade at the school, never mind that the school served two additional communities as well. “I knew what was my first job, to try to save the school,” Falivena told me. “Because a village that does not have a school is a dead village.” He racked his brain and came up with a desperate idea: pay women to have babies. And not just a token amount, either; in 2003 Falivena let it be known he would pay 10,000 euros (about $15,000) for every woman — local or immigrant, married or single — who would give birth to and rear a child in the village.
