A violation of civil rights because they are European Americans. Plain and simple as that.
With great concern European Americans United has been
closely watching recent
events unfold in Memphis Tennessee regarding a planned conference by EURO,
a white American civil rights group led by former state representative Dr.
David Duke, and the un-American fascist manner this event was nearly shut down.
Following threats
of violence against several hotels booked to host the meeting-- by
so-called anti racists and civil rights advocates-- numerous innocent
people who had made great sacrifices to attend the EURO conference may have lost
not only their paid room reservations but costs such as airline tickets once
they were notified the conference was rescheduled.
Upon learning of the scheduled EURO Conference at the Whispering Woods Convention Center, radicals threatened to bomb the hotel. The manager, as well as the lives of his wife and children was threatened. After these terrorist threats, the county Sheriff declared an official State of Emergency and the hotel canceled the hundred reserved rooms and the meeting facilities of the EURO conference were canceled just four days before the event. Fortunately, this planned event did
successfully take place; but not after great effort by the sponsors of this
conference. Nevertheless the local constabulary initially groveled to
politically correct dogma. When word of the conference drew terrorist threats
from local/regional sources they went so far as to declare a state of emergency! Of
course the media appeared to side with those who wanted the EURO conference
shut down. So as far as we should be concerned the local media, law enforcement
and craven hoteliers appeared to be in league with some of the worst elements
society has to offer.
And herein is the center of EUROs civil rights
violation: Congress shall make no law respecting an
establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or
abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the
people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of
grievances.
Civil rights may refer to several different things:
Civil and political rights are a class of rights
ensuring things such as the protection of peoples' physical integrity;
procedural fairness in law; protection from discrimination based on
gender, religion, race, sexual orientation, etc; individual freedom of
belief, speech, association, and the press; and political participation.
While a growing number of people are becoming aware that
things are not right with America we at EAU can safely say this entire debacle
was a civil rights issue, plain and simple. That a small band of miscreants and
anti-white bigots, including local government functionaries in DeSoto County
Tennessee --as well as the media-- could actually block a peaceful gathering of
ethnically cognizant European Americans from holding a free association of
persons is reminiscent of Stalinist Russia. As far as a violation of the civil
rights of EURO participants goes, members
of other races, after all, make it a point to show favoritism towards their own
kind regardless of the situation, political correctness be damned. Free inquiry
and the ability for reasonable people of
all races and backgrounds to reasonably differ -- or for people to see both
sides of an issue -- have been replaced by either character assassination or
psycho-pathologizing dissent.
For the
record European Americans United deplores the kind of specious underhanded
extremism, hate, and political correctness leveled against EURO and its
participants. This could have happened to anyone regardless of their ethnicity and it is not only unacceptable,
it is dangerous.

The biased, dirty, lying Memphis Commercial Appeal Newspaper
The following is a letter EURO received from a journalist who attended Dr. David Duke’s press conference on Thursday, November 6th.
I am a journalist who attended Dr. David Duke’s press conference today and I was shocked by the biased newspaper article I saw on the Commercial Appeal website about it. I can’t write about it in the publication I work for because I would lose my job for simply telling the truth about this matter.
I don’t agree with the politics of David Duke, but I consider myself a real journalist who aspires to write honestly and not bring my own prejudices to my work. I treat everyone, whether I agree with them or not with the same degree of respect and fairness. That’s why I referred to Dr. David Duke with the “Dr.” title, just as my articles on Dr. Martin Luther King refer to him with “Dr.” because that is his proper title. Dr. Duke is a PhD just as Dr. Martin Luther King was.
The Commercial Appeal article headlined: “Duke says white power conference set for new location.” In actual fact, Dr. Duke does not and has never used the slogan, “White Power.” The first thing Dr. Duke did at the press conference was to point out that he wasn’t a “White Power” advocate but a white civil rights advocate. He also clearly stated he was not a “white supremacist” but believed in equal rights for all “even for white people.” He contends that Whites face widespread racial discrimination in affirmative action hiring, promotions, scholarships and college admissions, and that government immigration policies will damage the long term, intrinsic interests of whites. The EURO president also said that there are thousands of groups in America that openly promote the interests of African Americans, Mexican Americans and Jewish Americans, so why shouldn’t Whites have the right to defend their rights and heritage.
He went on to relate that his original conference with over 100 rooms rented at the Whispering Woods Hotel was canceled after threats on the life of the Hotel Manager and his wife and children, and after Desoto county declared a State of Emergency. He said that America is not free when terrorist threats can prevent Americans from exercising their rights to assemble peaceably and speak freely. One of the scheduled conference speakers, a English-fluent human rights attorney from Moscow, Russia, Masha Vallachenko, expressed her shock at the cancellation saying, “I had always believed that America was the land of the free, but now I am not so sure.”
Reporting on the cancellation of the original meeting, the Commercial Appeal reporter wrote,
“The European-American Unity and Rights Conference was scheduled at the Whispering Woods Hotel and Conference Center in Olive Branch, but the hotel later canceled the contract after the nature of the conference came to light and controversy soon followed.”
No, the conference was canceled after the hotel received terroristic threats and after a State of Emergency was declared in Desoto County by the Sheriff’s Office.
There has been no outrage by the media or by authorities at this provocation. I wonder what the Commercial Appeal would be writing if a NAACP national conference would have been canceled by White terrorist threats? The outrage would have been national if not world wide. The FBI would have certainly sent a task force down to uncover and prosecute the violators of civil rights.
The way David Duke and his supporter’s rights have been trampled some may be forgiven for thinking that he has a good point in saying that Whites are losing their heritage and rights in America.
Once The Drury Inn found out that the press planned to interview David Duke in his hotel room at 2 pm today, they refused to allow it. Dr. Duke honored the hotel’s request and met with the press meeting outside on public property. Later, the Drury Inn kicked Dr. Duke out of the hotel completely, saying that he couldn’t stay at the Drury Inn because the hotel had received threats. I wonder what the reaction to all this would have been if Jesse Jackson had been kicked out of the Drury Inn.
None of this was reported by the Commercial Appeal, in fact they didn’t even mention the cause of the cancellation of Duke’s conference: terrorist threats against this organization and the hotel. America is now allowing punks who make threats to take away our most precious constitutional rights of freedom of speech and freedom of assembly. The human rights lawyer from Russia, had every right to be shocked by the fact that we are no longer the land of the free, and we Americans have every reason to be ashamed.
Through all this, David Duke and EURO will meet somewhere in the Memphis area on Saturday and Sunday.

I just experienced one of the most
remarkable weeks of my life, of that there is no doubt. It was a week in
which I went through the entire spectrum of emotions; a
week that ultimately left me exhausted and full of hope. What
you'll read below will both shock and inspire you. I hope you'll take the
time to digest the entire article. With that being said, let me start at
the very beginning.
Back in June I made the decision
to work with David Duke and organize the 2008 European American
Unity and Rights Conference (EURO) here in Memphis. After I was able to
negotiate a very good contract with the Whispering Woods Hotel and Conference
Center in Olive Branch, Mississippi, we were ready to begin promotion of
the highly anticipated event, the first of its kind in over three years.
When Representative Duke announced
on his website that the gathering would be held in the Memphis area on November
7-9, the local media went into an overzealous frenzy to try and uncover exactly
which hotel would dare let European Americans exercise their freedom of
speech. Being inept, they failed in their task to find the meeting
location until about a week before it was to begin.
Wednesday, October 29
It was on this day that a local
"civil rights" group called the Mid-South
Peace and Justice Center finally discovered where Duke and Company
were coming. Local leftist Jacob Flowers immediately posted the contact
information for Travis Murray, General Manager of Whispering Woods, on their
website and encouraged the radical left to contact him and voice their
displeasure over the fact he would afford us a place to meet.
Contact Mr. Murray they did.
By Wednesday night Mr. Murray's wife and children had received several calls at
home and been threatened by these Marxists with death if our contract was
not canceled. The very next day, Travis Murray resigned from his position.
"Peace and Justice," indeed.
As a result of these terroristic
threats, the government of DeSoto County, Mississippi, issued a week long
"State of Emergency" declaration, which gave them authority to
deputize police officers from neighboring counties in order to protect the
hotel's property and those who would be coming to the EURO
Conference. Even though the local police was said to have been working
with the FBI, we have still received no word as to what their so-called
investigations have uncovered, even though the threats were made specifically
to stop our People from coming together.
By this time the local media's
interest was beginning to reach a fever pitch. What did they
report? The truth about the threats of violence against our members and
the family of a honest hotel manager? Of course not. It was
reported that a local "civil rights group" had tried to warn the
manager's family that hosting our conference might be "bad for
business," and that the real
reason for all the unpleasantness was because the "Klan"
was coming to the Mid-South, led by "White Supremacist" David Duke.
Friday, October 31 (Halloween)
On my way to Atlanta I stopped
by the Whispering Woods Hotel to speak with the new acting General
Manager. I made mention of the fact that the gross
mischaracterizations our group was being subjected to in saturation
coverage on television news was complete fantasy. I apologized for any
inconvenience that these biased reports may have caused her staff, but reiterated
to her that our members would be among the finest patrons she'd ever find and
that I felt it incumbent upon me to meet with her in person to clear the air.
She seemed relieved to have this
calming reassurance and promised that our conference would go ahead as scheduled;
that our contract was ironclad and that we could expect the same
professionalism and courtesy that any other group would expect to
receive. Seemed fair enough to me.
The only thing she really seemed
concerned with at the time was finding out how many banquet meals we'd
be needing. I told her I'd get that number to her after the
weekend. We shook hands, and that was that.
Tuesday, November 4
I was in downtown Memphis, walking
along the banks of the Mississippi River with a fellow conference speaker from
Denmark, when I received a series of calls from people who had registered for
EURO and booked rooms at Whispering Woods. They were calling to inform me
that they had just been told by the hotel that our conference had
been arbitrarily canceled.
Yes, the hotel actually called all
of those who were registered to attend the conference before they called the
conference organizers themselves. Frantically trying to find out what
went wrong, I began working with David Duke to get to the bottom of this.
In the end, the hotel management
determined that the declaration of a "State of Emergency" gave them
the authority to breach our contract. They even invited Duke to sue them,
being smug in their opinion that no judge or jury would ever rule in favor of
the politically incorrect.
What was equally damnable was that
the hotel then reported to the media that they did not know with whom they were
dealing with when the contract was originally agreed upon. Having the
original contract here on my desk, I find that a little hard to believe when
the contract lists "Dr. David E. Duke" as the event organizer, and
"European American Unity and Rights Organization (EURO)" as the name
of the event.
Nevertheless, they went on to tell
us that not only would we not be allowed to use their facilities to hold our
meeting, but we wouldn't even be allowed to keep our rooms there for the
purposes of sleeping. We had filled up their hotel with over one
hundred booked rooms, and now these people were being thrown out as well.
After five months of meticulous
planning, we were now two days away from the start date of our conference
without a place to meet, and without a place for our those
registered to stay. So distressed was I that my body literally went
into a convulsive state. I can remember gagging while I was on the phone
with David as we tried to determine what our options were. The stress was
nearly more than I could bear, but we dug deep and made the decision to press
onward. Duke said he'd be in Memphis the next day to set up a command
center and arrange a press conference.
Wednesday, November 5
I met David at a local restaurant
and we began to prepare the contingency plan, which was not an enviable
task. We had to locate and secure and alternate meeting venue, call
over three hundred registered conference attendees and determine who
was still coming to Memphis and who wasn't, and try to find hotel rooms
for everyone, all in less than 48 hours.
