The murder of Matthew Shepard continues to be a rallying cry for the left, and is also being used to direct hate squarely at Christians

Let me preface this by admitting I may be somewhat old fashioned here, but I don’t believe sexuality (of any kind) should be taught in schools, especially when injected with the liberal interpretation of “tolerance.” Be it hetero, homo, or trans, aren’t there other pressing scholastic topics that should be covered more in depth, like mathematics, English, and science?
Apparently not.
“‘The Laramie Project’ is being performed this weekend at Acton-Boxborough High School. It presents a message to its audience that Christians with traditional moral values toward homosexuality are hateful, and likely murderers. It’s pretty chilling stuff if you’re a Christian in that town these days. Already, kids in the school are wearing their “erase hate” bracelets (given out by the play’s pro-homosexual promoters) and repeating the play’s messages among themselves.” – MassResistanceThis play, about the murder of Matthew Shepard, contains language like, “sh!t outta luck” — “Matt was a blunt little sh!t” — “I always say, don’t f!!k with a Wyoming queer, cause they will kick you in your f!!king a!!.” – “a freakin’ nightmare” – “I was just bullsh!ttin around with my sh!t” — “I was in deep-a!! sand” – “they better watch their f!!kin a!!” — “ask him if he’d ever do anymore tweak [drugs” — “I don’t know if Aaron was f!!ked up or whether he was coming down [off drugs or what, but Matthew had money. Sh!t, he had better clothes than I did. Matthew was a little rich bitch … There was times when I was all messed up on meth…” — “p!!!ed him off” — “good to be with people who felt like sh!t” — “why’d you f!!k up like that?” – “he tried to grab my d!!k” – “Up there in the max ward … when they found out Aaron was coming to prison, they were auctioning those boys off; ‘I want him. I’ll put aside five, six, seven cartons of cigarettes.’ …” – “we don’t say a f!!kin’ word” — Police officer who “went out and got sh!t-faced” [drunk — etc.
Are these kind of phrases necessary to prove the point, or is this your standard New York-borough-coffee shop-performance art comes to high school?
The murder of Matthew Shepard was a tragedy, but it continues to be a rallying cry for the left, and is also being used to direct hate squarely at Christians. While some churchgoers believe homosexuality is a sin, some could care less, as long as the lifestyle isn’t rubbed in their face.
If someone were to say that black people didn’t care much for gays, the http://www.wvwnews.net/story.php?id=1773 types would be losing their minds, screaming racism. If someone were to say that Latinos didn’t care much for gays, those same liberals would be taking their protests to the streets. But to imply that Christians will kill gays is jumping the shark.
