Dynamic program bows out after three years; 865 broadcasts
“When Alexander saw the breadth of his domain, he wept for there were no more worlds to conquer.”
The Political Cesspool Radio Program, the award-winning, syndicated broadcast out of Memphis, will call it a series after our live show on Friday, February 15. Over the course of the past three years and 14 weeks, we have aired approximately 865 episodes. Resilient and unapologetic, we served as the voice of the Conservative Right on the AM airwaves, never once backing down or begging forgiveness for putting America First. When we conclude our run on Friday, we will do so with our popularity at its zenith, bowing out with grace, honor and integrity.
We’ve accomplished a great deal, setting many precedents in the process. We proved that even in today’s “Politically Correct” climate, a mainstream pro-White broadcast could not only survive, but thrive! We took the best hits that the ADL and SPLC could deliver and they were never able to make a difference. These organizations, powered by their hatred of European Americans, were not able to intimidate our station management, whose support of our program is as ardent today as its ever been. We stood toe-to-toe with the enemies of Western culture, beating them soundly by staying on their air until we were ready to move on, thereby exposing to everyone just how impotent these anti-American organizations are when matched up against men who aren’t weak in the knees. I dare say that between myself and Lou Dobbs, we’ve blackened the eyes of these money-hungry hypocrites.
It’s probably ironic that if it weren’t for the constant attacks from the ADL and SPLC (and the crush of media attention that their antics garnered) the legacy of The Political Cesspool would have never become so luminescent. In a way, I suppose that we owe them a backhanded debt of gratitude. Quite seriously though, I sincerely believe that our defiant resolve to stand by our convictions when faced with the uncertainties that come when you’re under fire should serve as the prototype of how our People should conduct ourselves in similar situations. The motto of our show has been, “No Retreat, No Surrender, No Apologies!” What we advocate is what’s best for our family and we should never hesitate to safeguard the interests of our kinsmen first. This program has been a phenomenal success by any standard of measurement. However, amidst all of the highlights, victories, high-profile interviews, the best thing we take from all of this is the working relationship shared with our cherished listeners. You kept this volunteer radio effort going for a long, long time. Thanks to your financial support and well wishes, we were able to go further than anyone ever thought possible. Not even my appearances on CNN or being named an honorary Memphis City Councilman could match the pride elicited within me when I realize that we were able to motivate, encourage and embolden an army of thousands of listeners each and every weeknight. You all deserve a standing ovation.
Why now?
You’re probably asking yourself, “Why end the show now?” Well, that’s a good question! With our listenership growing on a weekly basis, our name recognition at an all-time high and the caliber of guests never being better, I agree that the timing could appear suspect. Unfortunately, I have no sensational stories to report. We haven’t been blackmailed, bought-out, or have any scandals lurking just beneath the surface. Heck, we haven’t even received any death threats since Christmas!
In this case, the simplest answer is the correct one. As volunteers, we put in full time hours each week on this program without seeking financial compensation, even though there are substantial costs associated with the production of our work. Having to meet these obligations on top of the duties we have within our daily lives is cumbersome. Even though the financial support from our audience has been mesmerizing, it still takes a great deal of sacrifice to make ends meet. More importantly, my father has developed some serious illnesses and requires my attention. The show has inflicted some strain on my marriage as well. As much as I love hosting The Political Cesspool, family and blood bade my attention and so it must be.
I purposefully didn’t want to release this announcement in advance, because I didn’t want folks to think it might be some shady scheme to hold you hostage for donations. We’re slightly more noble than that! Additionally, I wrestled with the decision to share with you the personal conflicts that I’m facing. I am certainly not divulging this information in an attempt to seek pity, but rather than appear disingenuous, I decided it would be better to convey the kind of candor and honesty in this announcement that has always been the hallmark of our work.
My decision to end this program was reached about two weeks ago, after a long talk with my father, my wife and other important family members, along with the rest of the show’s staff. I can’t say that I’ve slept more than 4 hours on any given night during the course of the past two weeks. It’s been a gut-wrenching, bittersweet and emotionally devastating decision. Developing content for a two-hour live program, five nights a week for the past three and a half years has been…arduous. My mind and body are fatigued. I had no expectations when I co-founded The Political Cesspool on October 26, 2004. My only desire was to make our ancestors proud. I hope that we did that.
What’s next?
Each Cesspool staff member will decide for themselves what to do next, but no matter what, I’m sure that we’ll always remain brothers. Our website will remain online and we will continuously update it with fresh news stories and new blog entries! The show itself will remain in syndication indefinitely on the Dixie Broadcasting Radio Network and their affiliate stations, which pleases me. Furthermore, our entire library of broadcast archives will also remain available on our website as an internet resource. So, keep checking our site daily for fresh news and information or to revisit your favorite interviews! We will continue to keep our e-mail list active, in order to keep you abreast of future developments and endeavors.
As for me, I plan to take a couple of weeks off and get to know my family again. Afterwards, I’m looking forward to exploring different challenges and discovering what new opportunities present themselves. In no way, shape or form, have you heard the last from James Edwards as a European American activist. In fact, all of this is just the beginning. I’d perhaps be open to seeking elected office again…one day. Another dream of mine would be to write a “behind-the-scenes” book detailing my experiences as host of The Political Cesspool and to continue my public speaking engagements. Additionally, I will remain involved as an active member of the Board of Directors of the Council of Conservative Citizens and fulfil my obligations to all of the other organizations with which I am associated. It’s been said that sharks die if they aren’t swimming. Well, similar to the Great White, I’d die if I were not contributing to the survival of our race.
I’d also like to see other more talented, more well-financed activists follow our lead into radio. I believe that our trailblazing work has effectively reintroduced paleoconservatism, nationalism and common sense to “mainstream” political talk radio and that we’ve been able to mobilize our listeners to speak out. It has been the highest honor of my life to serve as a spokesman for this Cause. We took on the world and made headlines.
It’s been the thrill of a lifetime!
Many people have worked to make this show so memorable. I will now try and offer my most sincere appreciation to these men and women, for without them, The Political Cesspool would have never developed into a juggernaut. The names of the individuals listed below all have gone the extra mile in helping to make this show all it could be…

Stay in touch!
We have always prided ourselves on the absolutely transparent and intimate relationship that we share with our fans. Should you have any additional questions or concerns (or if I can be of service to you or your organization) then I encourage you to e-mail me and I will make every attempt to give you a satisfactory answer. If an e-mail exchange isn’t enough, then I suggest you contact me directly and I will provide you with my private telephone number.

Host, The Political Cesspool Radio Program
P.S. – We’d be much obliged if you’d consider making a generous contribution at this crucial time that will help us meet our current budgetary requirements. Your important donations at this time will allow us to retire the remainder of our overhead. Our P.O. Box address and e-mail addresses will remain as they are, so you’ll always be able to reach us! Thanks again for being part of a wonderful adventure.

While the far left and other forces of darkness enjoy enormous financial support from those who share their ideals, prowhite outreach depends on the selfless sacrifice of men like James Edwards and the stellar crew of The Political Cesspool. This stalwart group gave us a resource for information and activism that has been unmatched, and the loss of The Political Cesspool is a loss for all of us. But the talent shown on The Political Cesspool will rise again, and we look forward to hearing about new aactivism from this group in the days ahead. Well done, Political Cesspool! We salute you!
