The age of political correctness is coming to a shuddering and somewhat ugly end

One result of the controversy caused by the British National Party placing an ad’ in the Hampstead and Highgate Express could not have been anticipated. Not only has the advert, in support of our London campaign, been very well received, we have also had calls from other newspapers offering us, in some cases, quite preferential rates.
With a little bit of money to play with, thanks to improved fundraising abilities, there is every chance that somewhat more substantial adverts in support of the party will be placed in the very near future.
I had the BBC on to me yesterday wanting to focus specifically on areas where we feel we could obtain a significant vote. We shared a laugh when I pointed out that both of us were spoilt for choice.
I spoke to one of ladies operating our enquiry lines recently, just one line alone was last week taking up to a hundred enquiries for membership in a single day.The Bishop of Durham has done us a tremendous favour by encouraging his flock not to vote for the British National Party. Ken Booth, our North East organiser, cleverly pointed out in several local papers that Right Reverend Tom Wright was stepping somewhat outside his remit and in so doing clumsily alerting the electorate to our presence. It is little wonder that with leadership like this the churches in this country are in many cases nothing more than soulless, empty monuments to a time when churchmen had the integrity to actually defend the Christian faith.
The age of political correctness is coming to a shuddering and somewhat ugly end. It is almost surreal to watch people like the Bishop of Durham together with Ken Livingstone and Boris Johnson adhere to an ideology that is akin to them strutting around in flared trousers, platform boots and hang glider lapels. The tide has gone out and left flapping on the seashore, like some stranded and grotesque sea creature, the fallacy of liberal multiculturalism is being laid bare for all to see.
