Public transportation increasingly used during assaults
Crime Stoppers on Thursday released surveillance video from an attack that happened last month on-board a Columbus bus.
Surveillance video from the COTA bus showed a man repeatedly punching another passenger, 10TV News reported.
The attack happened on May 21.
Moments before the man started hitting the passenger, he was shown sitting and talking to a woman and her child.
Moments later he threw several punches at the man, losing his sweatshirt in the process. Other passengers stayed in their seats as the attack continued.
The man eventually got off the bus but not before taking the victim’s iPhone.
The victim did not appear to be seriously injured, but he did have blood on a portion of his face, 10TV News reported.
Anyone with information about the attack was asked to call central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 614-645-8477 .
