Community College<br />4501 Amnicola Highway<br />Chattanooga, TN 37406<br />(423)697-3371<br />E-mail: <a href=”mary.knaff@chattanoogastate.edu”>mary.knaff@chattanoogastate.edu</a><br /><br />Hello!<br /><br />We read with interest your remarks concerning the recent Hispanic Heritage Month celebration at Chattanooga State Technical Community College. <a href=”http://www.timesfreepress.com/news/2008/sep/25/chattanooga-state-students-celebrate-hispanic-heri/?local”>You said:</a><br /><br /><span style=”font-style: italic;”>“We have to learn to live and work in a global society, and that global society includes Latinos, Asians, African-Americans, the list goes on and on,” </span>said Mary Knaff, multicultural services director at Chattanooga State.<br style=”font-style: italic;” /><br style=”font-style: italic;” /><span style=”font-style: italic;”>“If we don’t learn to communicate at that level, we are not going to have a greater understanding of what it means to be in a global society,” she said. “We’re going to have to compete on a global level, so we need to start understanding the people who are around us.”</span><br /><br />These are truly specious remarks, Ms. Knaff. Since we are all compelled to live and work in a &quot;global society&quot; it appears with certainty that you support corporations and governments that seek to increase their power, and see local laws, traditions and cultures as a hurdle to be overcome in the name of profit. It also seems that anyone who holds the position of &quot;multicultural services director&quot; has a problem with European Americans, since the term diversity ostensibly means fewer white people. We call this &quot;anti-white&quot; supremacy.<br /></font><br /><br />
<font size=”2″ style=”font-family: verdana,arial,helvetica,sans-serif;”>What does this say about the mindset of &quot;multicultural services
directors,&quot; let alone those who are responsible for scheduling
assembling and participating in such a ridiculous celebration as
Hispanic Heritage Month? <br /><br />Multiculturalists and the like do not –and cannot– support self-determination for all races and peoples. Ultimately they do not wish to leave them free to develop and practice their own cultures and traditions in an environment that will continue their own unique development. We also detect &quot;foolish compliances of ambition, corruption, or infatuation&quot; in that kind of policy, especially since the Census Bureau recently reported that European Americans are set to become the new minority in less than a generation. Or does it even matter, Ms. Knaff?<br /><br />Multiculturalists and globalists are the main enemy of human diversity and freedom since it requires governmental enforcement to attain so-called diversity rather than free association.
