A trial date has been set for Luis Alcantar, an http://www.wvwnews.net/story.php?id=4455 charged with aggravated driving under the influence in connection with the death last year of 76-year-old Marvin Dettmering of Buckley.
The trail is set to begin at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 10 in the south courtroom of the Iroquois County Courthouse in Watseka.
He had been scheduled for trial for Monday, but it was rescheduled.
Alcantar, a 22-year-old native of Mexico, is free on bond after a judge reduced bail from $150,000 to $50,000 last November.Police say Alcantar, who lives in Onarga, ran a stop sign on a rural road northeast of Buckley and hit the 76-year-old Dettmering’s car.
