three weeks ago the Police Blotter section of the online magazine </span><a href=”http://www.chattanoogan.com/articles/article_143947.asp”><span>The Chattanoogan</span></a><span>, reported that on or around the
night of February 2nd a European American woman, Ms. Joyce Russell of Wheeler
Street, told police she was assaulted by six black males standing in front of
her home. [<a href=”http://www.chattanoogan.com/articles/article_143947.asp”>http://www.chattanoogan.com/articles/article_143947.asp</a><o:p /></span></font></p>

<p class=”MsoNormal”><span><font size=”2″ style=”font-family: verdana,arial,helvetica,sans-serif;”>She
reported that one in the group called her &quot;you white bitch&quot; and
punched her in the face at least twice. He then pushed her to the ground and
kicked her in the chest and stomach. Then they left. Police said Ms. Russell
had a tooth knocked out and her face was damaged. She also had intense pain in
her chest and had to be taken to the Memorial Hospital emergency room. Ms.
Russell also said she did not know anyone in the group and believes she was
targeted because she is white. </font><o:p /></span></p>

this incident fits the profile of a hate crime and at the very least deserves
the attention of an investigative reporter. While we believe the idea of ‘hate
crime’ laws are too Orwellian for most normal people, the fact that this
incident was posted in the Police Blotter section of an online publication, The
Chattanoogan –clearly sourced from the police department– gives it enough
authority to at least merit exploration. Of course, we have our suspicions as
to why there has been no follow up even though the story was readily available
in the above mentioned medium: <a href=”http://www.wvwnews.net/story.php?id=6570″>the victim is white and the perpetrators are
black.</a><o:p /></span></font></p>

<p class=”MsoNormal” style=”font-family: verdana,arial,helvetica,sans-serif;”><font size=”2″><span>Again, this
incident was reported almost three weeks ago and to date, other than
interpretation, there is no official mention of Ms. Russell’s attack anywhere
online. However, the public deserves to know 1 whether or not this beating did
in fact take place, and 2 what the authorities have done about it. Sorry to
say, we already know what the Chattanooga media has done with it: nothing.<o:p /></span></font></p>

<p class=”MsoNormal” style=”font-family: verdana,arial,helvetica,sans-serif;”><font size=”2″><span>Media
outlets — and investigative reporters especially – more often than not have
access to police blotters and criminal reports. We therefore don’t believe
Chattanooga Tennessee’s media outlets are any different in the way they capture
news that may interest the citizenry. As a matter of fact we also know The
Chattanoogan online magazine is read by enough persons that it’s often referred
to in the local newspapers and on talk radio. <o:p /></span></font></p>

<p class=”MsoNormal” style=”font-family: verdana,arial,helvetica,sans-serif;”><font size=”2″><span>It is
therefore our contention that this incident provokes more than a little
discomfort in the minds of reporters, news anchors, editors, media
administrators — and most likely law enforcement– should the allegations
prove to be exactly as Ms. Russell and The Chattanoogan police blotter feature
described it: the white female victim allegedly suffered a violent and
unprovoked attack by a group of black males for no other reason than her
ethnicity. <o:p /></span></font></p>

<p class=”MsoNormal” style=”font-family: verdana,arial,helvetica,sans-serif;”><font size=”2″><span>If it was
merely rumored that six white males attacked and beat a lone black female
because of her race, we are confident this would surely be classified as a hate
crime and vigorously investigated–<i>whether it actually happened or not</i>–
by way of receiving endless attention from local law enforcement and the media.<o:p /></span></font></p>

<p class=”MsoNormal” style=”font-family: verdana,arial,helvetica,sans-serif;”><font size=”2″><span>European
Americans United believes this case warrants ethical vigorous action until the
truth is known; and it is imperative this case is resolved not considering the
politically correct consequences media personalities fear due to their
roundabout lack of accountability. If no media or law enforcement investigation
is forthcoming, whether Ms. Russell’s race-based assault took place or not, we
can only assume the fear of being labeled &quot;racist&quot; by the non-white
community in Chattanooga has been the primary reason why this story never made
it past an online magazine. Where are the victim’s advocates in the media and
elsewhere; and why isn’t this considered to be newsworthy, let alone
investigated in order to find the truth?<o:p /></span></font></p>

<p class=”MsoNormal” style=”font-family: verdana,arial,helvetica,sans-serif;”><font size=”2″><span>Be advised
our knowledge on matters that perpetuate negative media stereotypes expressed
against the diverse white American peoples, whether by oversight or with
intent, is providing the basis for lawsuits and criminal charges by white
American advocacy groups. <o:p /></span></font></p>

<p class=”MsoNormal” style=”font-family: verdana,arial,helvetica,sans-serif;”><font size=”2″><span>This letter
