Obama’s Justice Department recently dropped charges against Black Pantherswho were brandishing weapons at a polling place in Philly to scarewhite voters away. That’s no big deal in Obama’s eyes. But when a Hindukid in Cincinnati eats a beef taco at school, the DOJ takes it seriously:
The U.S. Justice Department is investigating anallegation that staff at the Academy of World Languages, a publicmagnet school in Evanston, fed a Hindu man’s son a beef taco despiteknowing his strict religious prohibition against beef.
Calling it an “intentional act of religious bigotry,” Ashish Gandhi,of Kennedy Heights, said the school clerk took his son to the cafeteriain October and force-fed him the taco. The incident occurred in themidst of a long-running dispute between Gandhi and the school over hisson’s education and discipline.
In a written response to a Justice Departmentinvestigator obtained under Ohio’s open-records laws, Cincinnati PublicSchools admits the 5-year-old ate the taco, but denies violatingreligious discrimination laws. CPS declined an interview request.
The boy chose the taco himself, and the clerk was unaware of his dietary restrictions, wrote Gary Winters, an attorney for CPS.
No beef tacos for him!
“At most, there was an error made on a single occasion, for whichCPS’s personnel and administrators have repeatedly apologized to Mr.Gandhi,” he wrote.
Black Panthers brandishing weapons at white voters? Hey, it ain’t no thang.
A Hindu eats a taco? That’s a hate crime that won’t be tolerated.
