have been subjected to an incessant barrage from Blacks and others that they
are all somehow &quot;answerable&quot; for the African slave trade; that we
need to &quot;atone&quot; for our collective &quot;guilt.&quot; This kind of
politics is nothing more than pandering on behalf of flawed reasoning.<o:p /></span></font></h1>

<h1><span style=”font-size: 10pt;”><font size=”2″ style=”font-family: verdana,arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-weight: normal;”>First of all, as you are keenly
aware, very few European Americans owned slaves. Slavery, overall, was a rich
man’s pursuit and the practice barely existed between the middle and working
classes of white people. Second of all, supposing each and every <a href=”../story.php?id=7708″>white American</a> has an
ancestor who owned slaves (which is unlikely), it makes no sense to fault the
children for the theoretical sins of their fathers. Punishing today’s German
people for the tragedy of the Second World War comes to mind. Approximately six
hundred thousand White soldiers died in the American Civil War, allegedly to <a href=”http://www.projo.com/ri/bristol/content/artsun_SLAVE_STORY_02-03-08_AL8NC2D_v99.1f0f971.html”>“free
the slaves”</a> as we are erroneously taught in what passes for academia. Have you
ever heard of Blacks paying their respects to, or thanking, these men?</font><o:p /></span></h1>
