Is President Obama About To Cede US Sovereignty?

On October 14, Lord Christopher Monckton gave a presentation in St. Paul, MN on the subject of global warming. In this 4-minute excerpt from his speech, he issues a dire warning to all Americans regarding the United Nations Climate Change Treaty that is scheduled to be signed in Copenhagen in December 2009.

A draft of the treaty can be read here: http://www.globalclimatescam.com/docu…

Page 40: Section 46 Subsection H of the “Objectives, scope, and guiding principles” contains the text for enforcement andestablishment of the rule of law.

There has been considerabledebate raised about Monckton’s conclusion that the Copenhagen Treatywould cede US sovereignty. His comments appear to be based upon hisinterpretation of the The Supremacy Clause in the US Constitution(Article VI, paragraph 2). This clause establishes the Constitution,Federal Statutes, and U.S. TREATIES as the supreme law of the land.Concerns have been raised in the past that a particularly ambitioustreaty may supersede the US Constitution. In the 1950s, aconstitutional amendment, known as the Bricker Amendment, was proposedin response to such fears, but it failed to pass. You can read moreabout the Bricker Amendment in a 1953 Time Magazine article:

He hasrepeatedly challenged Al Gore to a debate to which Gore has refused.Monckton sued to stop Gore’s film “An Inconvenient Truth” from beingshown in British schools due to its inaccuracies. The judge foundin-favor of Monckton, ordering 9 serious errors in the film to becorrected. Lord Monckton travels internationally in an attempt toeducating the public about the myth of global warming.

Imagine a future in which the whole of the human race has devolved intoa bland pop “culture”. We’ll spend our days lounging around watching TVstations that all force feed us the same mindless trash, interspersedwith advertisements for more shiny plastic objects that we don’t need. The environment will by now be raped and desolate so that few cropswill grow, but while half the planet’s species may be extinct, that’sOK: the natural food sources can be replaced by dangerous chemicals, and nature is boring anyways. Your job will probably be stale andpointless repetition, but if you keep at it long enough you’ll be ableto save up for another impressive piece of plastic. This is only asmall sample of this what such a diseased society could offer, forsocieties that become corrupt and deluded always have – and always will- meet unpleasant fates.

In this kind of future, what use will we have for words suchas “pride”, “spirit”, “art”, or “transcendence”? None. But thisnightmare is only a possibility; a prediction of future hell that canbe avoided. We can’t truly say what will happen, but we can clearly seethat the current course of the human race is undesirable, and we canattempt to change that. CORRUPT is already working at this – throughphilosophy, art, intelligent discussion, and community action, amongother things.

If you are a non-self serving individual with a wish to riseabove the filth and decadence around you, consider joining, contributing, or simply exposing your mind to CORRUPT. We are not apretentious or elitist social club, but a small, hardworking groupdedicated to bringing about the changes that we desire.
