It would be rude to blame the actual people who voted for Alvin Greene, because they’re overwhelmingly black.
Alvin Greene is 32. He lives with his dad. He has been unemployed since the Army kicked him out nearly a year ago, because, in his words, “things just weren’t working out.” He’s facing 5 years in prison for showing pornography to a woman at a local college and asking for sex. And he’s also the Democratic nominee for US Senator from South Carolina. He won 60% of the vote against a well known, well qualified opponent, even though he never held one campaign event, never put up one sign, has no website, and can’t show any proof that he ever did anything in the way of campaigning.
Did I mention Alvin Greene is black? (Of course, the college girl who filed obscenity charges against him is white.)
And the man he beat, Vic Rawl, is white?
Now, if you know anything about race and politics, you know that it isn’t the NASCAR crowd who’s voting in the Dem primary in South Carolina, if you know what I mean. There’s a reason Obama beat Hillary 2-1 in the 2008 SC primary, and I’ll bet you can guess what that reason is. Yes, black voters are an overwhelming percentage of the Democrat party in South Carolina. So guess who gets blamed for Alvin Green getting hundreds of thousands of Democrat votes in the primary, taking 60% of the vote.
