Liberian warlord confesses to cannibalism
Back in his salad days, Joshua Milton Blahyi was General Butt Naked, a savage warlord who led an army of transvestite child soldiers into battle in Liberia’s civil wars. Unlike many tough talking rappers whose rep is a pose, Butt Naked earned his moniker and fearsome reputation wearing nothing but a smile and a pair of Nike sneakers, and eating the hearts of kidnapped children as part of his black magic religion.
The sartorial tastes of Butt Naked and his Krahn tribal army were subject to the dictates of the animistic http://www.wvwnews.net/story.php?id=1262 religion of West Africa, in which General Naked served as a High Priest. His theological pursuits began at age 11, when Satan telephoned the young Butt with a set of instructions, among which was the commandment to use pages of scripture stolen from mission churches as rolling papers for his followers to smoke marijuana; the illiterates would absorb the words of wisdom in the smoke. The zany outfits worn by the army served as spiritual camouflage, warding off bullets.
And there was nothing girly about the showgirl dresses and flowing wigs. The Krahn were merciless, butchering victims with machetes and killing thousands. But despite a life of shame, Butt Naked has had a Dasascene conversion. Having renounced his old life, he is now an “evangelical preacher” commanded directly by God to confess his crimes to Liberia’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission, which he hopes will offer him a pardon in exchange for grisly details of a campaign that http://www.wvwnews.net/story.php?id=2865 as part of its overall strategic vision.”Any time we captured a town, I had to make a human sacrifice. They bring to me a living child that I slaughter and take the heart off to eat it,” Butt Naked lamented. And he was hungry: “But for what I did, it is not less than twenty thousands,” he tearfully confessed.
The loving kindness of others and the miraculous personal appearance of Jesus Christ brought the poor sinner Butt Naked back to the straight and narrow. “A lady offered me her child for my sacrifice,” he recalled. “After cutting up the child I divided the heart among my boys and myself. The blood of the child was still on my hand when Jesus appeared to me and asked me to stop being a slave.”
And forgiveness is boundless: “I was told that TRC can recommend amnesty,” he said.
