“Treva Whitlock, longtime director of Lakota’s child nutrition program, will get $25,000, and her secretary, Linda Alfrey, gets $14,000, according to “release and separation” agreements that were unanimously approved Monday night by the Lakota Board of Education.
“The money collected by both former employees will be in addition to severance pay and benefits called for by their employment contracts.
“Whitlock’s severance package has her receiving $27,000 on top of the $25,000, plus getting paid for accumulated vacation and sick days.
“Besides her $14,000 from the separation agreement, Alfrey’s severance package calls for her to receive $10,800 plus cash from vacation and sick days.
“Whitlock and Alfrey, who are both white, were suspended with pay on March 25 after Lakota officials received written complaints from co-workers that the two made racist remarks toward African-American central office employees and derided Lakota’s diversity efforts.”
The “racist” remarks? Humorously pointing out the truth about affirmative action and racial shakedowns, and noticing that one of their coworkers was black:
“The nature of the controversial comments was revealed in Lakota documents obtained by The Enquirer, under Ohio’s Public Records law. In a March 10 written statement to central office officials, employee Jonnica Johnson quoted Whitlock as saying, “Hey you guys, we need to be more diverse. I am going to bring in some shoe polish and paint (two white employees’) face(s).”
“Alfrey, who declined to comment Tuesday, was cited by another central office employee – Rick Tate – in a written statement on March 12 as having said about African-American Georgetta Kelly, Lakota’s director of human resources, ‘You know George is here only because of the NAACP.’
Both Whitlock and Alfrey were cited as referring to another black central office employee – Rhonda White – as ‘Rhonda White who isn’t.'”
Real shocking stuff, huh? Good thing the school demanded their resignation when they did – these two lunch ladies were probably on the verge of organizing lynch mobs.
