A student at Prince George’s Community College, who says she was forced to quit school because of her political beliefs, may sue the school after learning her http://www.wvwnews.net/story.php?id=4892 about alleged racist taunting was dismissed.

Gloria Alfonzo says her African American classmates subjected her to racist taunts because she is a Republican. She also says she is stunned the college dismissed her complaint about the alleged racist taunting.

A school spokesperson says it has found no evidence to support Alfonzo’s claim, especially after discrediting a witness to the alleged taunting.

Chris Monroe, a student, says he witnessed the class erupt in a racist rant when Alfonzo said she supported Republican John McCain in the presidential race. The school, though, says Monroe’s name is not even on the roster for Alfonzo’s class.

Monroe, however, told ABC 7/News Channel 8 reporter Stephen Tschida that he witnessed black students bombard a woman with http://www.wvwnews.net/story.php?id=5228, saying he had “never seen such hatred.”Meanwhile, Alfonzo is not backing down. “I don’t want this to happen to anyone else,” said Alfonzo. “I don’t know how they can just say this didn’t happen.”

The school says it based its findings on talks with the teacher, whom Alfonzo says did not act to stop the verbal attack, and the students–the very people Alfonzo says taunted her.
